Important: Please Complete Your End of Year Checklist by Dec 16

As we approach the end of the year, we want to sincerely thank the 50%+ of you who have already completed the end-of-year form. Your prompt responses help us plan and manage leaves seamlessly in the upcoming year. If you have trouble finding the email, please search your inbox for “[Reminder] Action Required - 2025 Benefit & Company Policy Updates”. If you need any assistance completing the form, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re here to help!

Manager Dashboard Update

Over one-third of you have already opted into the Manager Dashboard—thank you! This feature provides automated notifications (such as RTW reminders) and dashboard access, keeping managers informed about the status of their direct reports' leave.

If you’d like to enable this feature or learn more, please contact your Leave Specialist team.

HR Business Partner (HRBP) Dashboard   Coming Soon!

Our team is preparing to launch a major new feature - the HRBP dashboard. The dashboard allows HRBPs to access limited information and receive email notifications about leaves for employees with whom they are associated via the HRBP field (which can be set manually or via an HRIS integration).

If you’d like to enable this feature or learn more, please contact your Leave Specialist team.

Compliance Updates

DC Paid Family Leave: New Notice Requirement

The DC Department of Employment Services (DOES) has issued a new 2025 Paid Family Leave Notice for employees. Employers are required to distribute this updated notice by February 1, 2025. This notice must also be shared with employees when they are hired, at least once a year, and whenever you become aware that an employee indicates they might need to take leave that could qualify for DC PFL benefits.

At Sparrow, we’re ahead of the curve! We’ll automatically provide this updated notice to all DC employees via the Sparrow dashboard when their leave is first added to the Sparrow Dashboard.

State Paid Family & Medical Leave Updates

Several states with Paid Family and Medical Leave programs will implement new benefit calculations and increased maximum weekly benefits effective January 1, 2025. Here's a quick breakdown of the changes.

We’ve Got You Covered!

No need to worry about manually updating these changes—Sparrow has already integrated the new benefit rates into our platform. This ensures that your employees receive accurate benefit calculations starting from day one of 2025.

At Sparrow, we’re committed to simplifying leave management and keeping your organization compliant with ever-evolving regulations.

Have questions or need assistance? Our team is here to help. Let’s make 2025 a compliant and successful year together.
