HRIS Updates We’ve recently added SFTP integration options for Rippling, Lattice, and HiBob, making it even easier to connect your HRIS with Sparrow. Here are a few highlights from our product pipeline we are excited to share with you: Employee Self-Initiated Leaves Our team is working on an option to allow employees to initiate their own leaves in Sparrow, without HR teams needing to start the process. HR teams will still need to review and approve the leave, and add any missing information required for Sparrow to process the leave. This feature is expected by the end of this year. Please reach out to your concierge team ([email protected]) if you would be interested in enabling this feature when it is available. External Knowledgebase We are working on setting up a Sparrow Knowledgebase where all users, including HR teams, employees, managers, and HRBPs can access content from Sparrow relevant to their roles and needs. Additional Configuration Settings You will soon see more configuration settings on your Sparrow Dashboard, including your leave policies and key members of your team who receive leave updates. |
Compliance Updates |
On April 7, 2025, the Maryland General Assembly passed a bill to postpone the implementation dates for the Maryland Family and Medical Leave Insurance (FAMLI) benefits program. The governor is expected to approve the bill soon, which will update the implementation timeline for FAMLI program as follows:
- Payroll deductions by employers will begin January 1, 2027
- Leave benefits will be available to eligible employees starting January 3, 2028
